Coast Guard Station, County Waterford
This Cliff and Rescue facility for the Irish Coast Guard Service/ the Office of Public Works is located on the headlands overlooking Bunmahon Bay, on the Copper Coast. The facilities provide vehicle and equipment storage, changing and showering facilities for the volunteers, and an operations centre for emergency situations. A laminated timber superstructure is tilted overhead to support the planted roof, tucked into the landscape.
